Welcome to La Cabane à poterie, a creative space where imagination takes centre stage! Located in the charming historic village of La Prairie, our studio is fully equipped with pottery wheels, worktables, and a wide range of tools for your artistic projects. Our space has been thoughtfully arranged to inspire creativity for our community of makers.
The studio is open to new members with prior pottery experience whenever a supervisor is present. Our up-to-date studio schedule is posted online. If a supervisor’s shift is cancelled, members may contact us to request a one-time access code to enter the studio during that period.

Studio Equipment Availability
La Cabane à Poterie is proud to offer both memberships and a variety of pottery classes that help grow and sustain our creative community.
To ensure a smooth experience for everyone, we kindly remind members that scheduled classes appear in the studio calendar. Certain equipment (such as wheels and worktables) may be reserved for class participants during those times. Classes help support the studio and make it possible for us to offer this creative space to our members.
We encourage members to check the studio calendar before planning visits. Studio space is always offered on a first-come, first-serve basis within available time slots.
Studio glaze usage and shelving in the kiln room are strictly reserved for in-house firing and pieces created at the studio during the membership period only.
To protect our kiln equipment and maintain firing consistency, only Cone 6 clay and materials approved by the studio are permitted. Use of low fire clay or is prohibited, as they can damage our kilns and affect firing results. Members must adhere strictly to this policy.
Extra Studio Hours
Members may purchase additional studio time beyond their included monthly membership hours at hourly rates.

Payment for extra hours is billed monthly.
Clay Policy
Only Cone 6 clay purchased from the studio is permitted. Members who wish to use outside clay must request special permission in advance and provide proof of the clay type. Any damage caused to studio equipment (including kilns, shelves, or other surfaces) due to the use of incorrect or unsuitable clay will be the responsibility of the member, and repair or replacement costs will be billed accordingly.
Referral Program
Refer a friend for a 3-month sign-up and receive $50 in studio credit! (One reward per referral)
Membership Terms
La Cabane à Poterie reserves the right to modify its pricing, membership structure, or terms at any time and without notice. Changes may reflect operational needs, economic fluctuations, or studio improvements. All updates will be communicated to members and take effect on the date specified in the notice
