Hand Building: 4-week/session series
Create with Confidence — No Experience Required!
Hand-building lets you shape clay with freedom, inviting more organic and expressive forms. Discover the creative and relaxing world of hand-built pottery in this 4-week course. We’ve designed our series for absolute beginners and hobbyists alike. Our small class sizes are tailored for personalized guidance, individual pace, and creative goals. Come solo or with a friend.
Throughout the series, we’ll cover:

Week 1 – Introduction & Hand-built Mug: Learn the foundations of slab work and assembly. We’ll begin our course by creating a signature mug with a secure handle.

Week 2 – Mug Finishing + Organic Bowl: Refine your mug and start a new project: an organic bowl using our studio texture mats and slump moulds.

Week 3 – Personal Project: This session is devoted to personal projects, such as a vase, a planter, or a tray. Your instructor will help by providing templates (if needed) and step-by-step guidance to bring your project idea to life.

Week 4 – Final Touches & Glaze Day: Glaze your mug and organic bowl. Finalize your personal project in preparation for its first firing (you can return to glaze it at your convenience once fired).
Membership: Our 4-week courses qualify our students for membership at our studio. Orientation fees are waived.

Wheel Throwing: 4-week/session series
No pottery experience required!
In this structured four-week series, you’ll learn the fundamentals of the challenging art of wheel throwing, ideal for beginners looking to build strong foundational skills. Solo students and groups welcome.
Throughout the series, we’ll cover:

Preparation and wedging clay

Centring, opening, & pulling a cylinder on a wheel

Shape foundational forms such as bowls, cups, and small plates

Trim and refine your pieces
-
Glazing
Each participant progresses at their own pace with personalized guidance. Attendance for all four sessions is strongly recommended. This ensures consistent progress.

Meet once a week for 4 classes. Each class session is up to 2 hours.

By the end of the series, students will leave with several unique pieces created and glazed themselves. Beginners are welcome.

Introduction to the Wheel: Wheel try-out
Beginners welcome!
Come solo or with a group.
Up to 2 hours
Ever wanted to take a pottery wheel for a spin without committing to a multi-week course? This workshop is perfect for you. Come solo or with a friend to our relaxed, creative studio. We’ll walk you through the basics of wheel throwing so you can try your hand at creating small cups or bowls.
What’s included:

Wheel Session – Guided demonstration and hands-on pottery workshop to learn centring and raising clay walls while on a pottery wheel.

Finishing – we’ll handle the rest. We dry, trim (carve the foot), and kiln-fire your pieces with a beautiful, clear, shiny glaze.

Pick-up. Your creations will be ready for pick-up approximately 3 to 4 weeks after the workshop.

All-Inclusive: Clay, tools, finishing/trimming, two kiln-firings, and professional glazing by the studio.

Despite the care taken during the workshop, drying, firing, and glazing stages, pieces may occasionally crack, warp, or break. By participating, you acknowledge that there is no guarantee that a finished piece will be successfully produced. No refunds, replacements, or credits will be issued for pieces damaged or lost during the making or firing process.
Pricing, cancellation, and modification policy
Prices, promotions, dates, policies, and workshop content are subject to change without notice. Workshops require a minimum of 3 people. Cancellations must be communicated in advance. No refunds are issued for same-day cancellations, absences, or late arrivals.
